I really enjoyed the visit to New York and seeing design practice in action internationally.
Printsource New York had many different styles of design from both freelance and commercial companies. I think I preffered the freelancers because there was so many different styles. The volume of work they had to display was huge which allowed them to demonstrate the various skills they have to offer.
Mood boards were inspirational and included swatches of fabrics, colour palettes, fashion images, objects and borders made from images and text.
I found quite a few useful designers who I found inspirational that I can further research and perhaps email about how they found their experience. Many exhibitors I spoke to really enjoy exhibiting however they say there is a lot of competition.
