Using pattern from this painting, I have created a screen, but I left the image on the screen looking distressed so that not a complete print would come out.
I have experimented a lot using this screen to create background fabrics that I can work on top of.
I printed this gold foil on top of this interior fabric, not knowing how it would turn out because of the weaving technique of the fabric. However it turned out very well and I can use this to work on top of with stitch methods.
I then used the left over of the foil sheet to print again, this time I used a blank screen to print texi-flock onto a piece of fabric so the whole foil would go onto the fabric. I thought the pattern would come out paler gold than the area around the pattern.
Here I tried the peice another time to see if it would come out even paler.
This piece looks even more distressed I think the second time worked better. This was all a experiment to see how much I could get from one piece of foil.
